FAQ's

We have compiled a list frequently asked questions that can provide the answers you need. If you have a question that is not listed below, feel free to call or stop by our facility and our helpful staff will be glad to answer it.

Do you have a truck for us to use when we move-in?

We do not have a facility truck but as an authorized U-Haul dealer we generally have plenty of trucks on site. We can offer certain discounts and concession when you rent from us to make sure you have a truck to help with your initial move-in.

Do I need my own lock?

Although our spaces are monitored 24/7, we require you to use a lock for your protection. Locks can be purchased from our Boxes & Supplies Store located onsite. If you are going to bring your own lock, please have it with you when you sign your lease.

How long is the lease?

The rental agreement term is determined when you sign the lease. The lease starts on the day you rent the space. Rent is due on the first day of each month thereafter for that month. Once you are in for a month, you are in for the entire month. The lease renews itself each month unless you give a 10 day move-out notice in writing.

When I move out, do I need to give you a notice?

The rental agreement requires at least a 10 day written notice. It is best to give your notice one month prior to the move-out date when possible. Your written notice can be faxed, mailed, dropped in our drop box or you can hand deliver it to one of our staff during regular office hours.

In addition to the monthly rent, are there any additional fees?

At Cy-Fair Self Storage we pride ourselves on being cost effective and we make every effort to keep additional fees at a minimum. We do not require a deposit for your unit. We trust that you will leave the storage space in the condition it was rented when you vacate it.

How can I make my monthly payment?

We offer several payment options. We accept cash, check, Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. The most common option is our Auto-Pay option where we automatically charge your credit card at the beginning of each month. This helps you avoid late charges and is most convenient for our customers. It also takes one more item off of your monthly list of things not to forget! You may also mail us a check or payments can be made in person or by phone (using a credit card) during office hours. After hours payments can be made via the payment drop box. We strive to make doing business with us as easy for you, our customer as possible!

When can I access my space?

Thanks to individual access codes and advanced security measures, you have access to your space seven day a week, 365 days a year from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. If you need overnight access, arrangements can be made with our staff.

Do you have insurance available?

Yes, we offer storage insurance that can be purchased when you sign your rental agreement. You will pay the insurance premium along with your rental payment each month. The insurance company we work with specializes in storage insurance and rate plans are based on the value of the stored items. While you are not required to obtain insurance through this company, Cy-fair Storage highly encourages all customers to purchase insurance (of their choice) to insure their valuables.
